Privacy policy

This policy explains how إستقطاب ("we") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the إستقطاب mobile app and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account: name, email address, phone number (optional) and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form).
- Google Sign-In: if you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, name, email address and profile photo.
- Profile (optional): gender, date of birth, nationality, country, city, education level, university, major, years of experience, job title, bio, skills, profile photo and CV file.
- Preferences: the countries, sectors and job categories you are interested in.
- Content: comments and replies you post (including earlier versions when you edit them) and reports you submit.
- Activity: jobs you like, save or mark as applied.
Information collected automatically
- Device and security data: IP address, device type and platform (Android/iOS), app/browser information (user agent), and a device identifier used to prevent fake accounts.
- Notifications: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token so we can send you push notifications.
- Advertising: the app shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and ad interactions. See how Google uses this information.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and let you sign in.
- To show jobs that match your preferences and send notifications about new jobs and replies to your comments.
- To display your name and photo next to the comments you post.
- To keep the Service safe: preventing spam, fake accounts, abuse and offensive content, and investigating suspicious activity.
- To send account emails, such as password reset and account deletion codes.
- To show ads that help keep the Service free.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who can see your information
- Other users see only your name and profile photo, next to your comments.
- Our administrators can access account and activity data to operate and moderate the Service.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf: Google (Sign-In, Firebase Cloud Messaging, AdMob), our hosting provider and our email provider.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. How long we keep your information
- Account and profile data are kept while your account is active.
- When you delete your account, it is deactivated immediately and permanently erased after 30 days, together with your profile, CV, photo, comments, likes, saved jobs and notifications.
- Security logs (IP address, device information) are kept for up to 90 days.
5. Your choices and rights
- View and edit your profile at any time in the app.
- Turn notifications on or off from the app settings.
- Delete your account from the app (Profile → Delete account) or from our account deletion page.

6. Security
We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, a single active session per account, rate limiting and monitoring of suspicious activity. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Children
The Service is intended for job seekers and is not directed to children under 15. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 15; if you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
